Dirty Liquid Applications
The shrouded model should be specified thus eliminating fouling of the float movement due to deposits or large particles becoming wedged.
Submersion
For those applications where the equipment may be subjected to occasional or continuous submersion, the submersible model should be specified.
Viscous or Corrosive Liquids
Cranked Arm float units should be specified to enable the operating mechanism to be kept clear of the liquid. Rod extensions shaped to individual requirements are available to fit all Mobrey level switches.

Float Chambers
Float chambers are used to facilitate the external mounting of a Mobrey magnetic level switch onto a tank or pressure vessel, particularly where space inside the vessel is restricted or where control must be isolated for routine maintenance whilst the plant is still in operation. A wide range of cast or fabricated chambers are available. Process connections may be specified top and bottom or side and side, and can be flanged, screwed or butt welded in a choice of sizes to suit most plant applications.

Vertical Float Level Switches
The vertical float level switch from Mobrey carries a stainless steel sheathed permanent magnet which rises and falls in the glandless pressure tube with changing liquid level.
Switching is achieved with the unique Mobrey "3-magnet" system, giving snap-action "latch-on" switching. A switch mechanism is mounted inside the enclosure adjacent to the pressure tube. Vertical movement of the float magnet in the pressure tube simultaneously actuates the secondary and tertiary magnets in the switch mechanism to operate the contacts.
The "3-magnet" system enables the float magnet to pass on and actuate switch mechanisms at other levels. Switch mechanisms already actuated cannot re-set until the return of the primary magnet actuates the magnet system once again.​

The Squing 2 is a vibrating fork point liquid level switch designed using the principle of a tuning fork. By using piezo-crystals the Squing 2 fork is forced to resonate constantly at its natural frequency.
When the Squing 2 vibrating fork switch is installed as a high alarm, a rising liquid will come into contact with the forks and dampen them, changing their natural resonant frequency; From this the electronics make the output of Squing 2 change. Or, when installing the Squing 2 as a low alarm the fork is normally submerged; as your liquid lowers past the fork there is a change in their frequency and again the electronics make the output change.
Using short fork technology pioneered by Mobrey and many years of application experience, the Squing 2 vibrating fork point liquid level switch is designed for use in virtually all applications.​

I.S. Squing 2 with SIL2 rating
SIL ratings are being established for many instrumentation products in response to requests from users and integrators who are increasingly requiring sensors for use in Safety Related Systems.
BS EN61508 offers guidance on the safety system as a whole, being for providers of entire systems that in basic form will comprise a sensor, some form of control and an actuator. Those who provide such systems are termed Safety System Integrators. Mobrey, as a component supplier, supply Safety Subsytems.
The Intrinsically Safe version of the Squing 2 has been assessed and rated SIL2 for use as a Type B Safety Related Subsystem in accordance with BS EN61508.
The I.S. Squing 2, which already carries Overfilling Approval, is used together with a Namur Barrier to provide a high level of failsafety when used in a high level application.​

Manufactured in Polyphenylene Sulphide (PPS) for corrosion resistance in most liquids, the 003 range of ultrasonic liquid level switches can be mounted in any position in a tank using either a 25mm/1" or 19mm/¾" thread available in BSPP, BSPT and NPT thread forms. A thread is provided on each side of a hexagonal boss to allow either external or internal / pole mounting of the sensor. Comprising a one piece moulded body with an integral pcb, the 003 switch is factory sealed and supplied with a 3m/10ft flying lead for customer connection.
The Mobrey 003 ultrasonic liquid level switch is designed for high or low level alarm duties to give a voltage free contact or solid state transistor output for alarm signalling or as part of a pump control system.
The 003 ultrasonic sensor may be mounted at any angle in the vessel.​
