در کتاب های آماده سازی تافل و در کلاس های رایتینگ ، معمولا pre-writing به گوشتون می خوره. اما pre-writing اصلا چی هست وچرا انقدر اهمیت داره؟
امروز به پایه های pre-writing در قسمت independent writing تافل می پردازیم.
pre-writing چیه؟
pre-writing یعنی پیش از اینکه essay رو بنویسید، اول ایده هاتون رو سازمان دهی کنید. Pre-writing فرایندی هست که در دو قدم انجام می شه. اول brainstorm می کنید: ایده هاتون رو با کلمات و عبارات ساده بدون ترتیب خاصی می نویسید. بعد outline کارتون رو شکل می دید. Outline کردن یعنی کنار هم گذاشتن ایده ها با یه ترتیب منطقی، یعنی به همون ترتیبی که قراره در رایتینگ نوشته بشن.
Brainstorm کردن در pre-writing تافل
در قسمت Independent Writing تافل ، brainstorm کردن باید سریع انجام بشه. به سوال نگاه کنید، به اولین ایده هایی که به ذهنتون می رسه فکر کنید، و بعد اونا رو روی کاغذ بنویسید. خب، سوال اینه:
• Some people prefer to leave their house and see movies in the theater. Others would rather stay at home and watch movies on their TV screen or on a computer. Which one do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
وقتی می خواید برای این سوال brainstorm کنید، یعنی می خواید ایده هاتون رو با عبارات ساده بنویسید. برای سوال بالا، اینا عباراتی هستن که به ذهن من رسیدن (این ها ایده هایی هستن که من brainstorm کردم) :
watch at home
theater = too expensive
more choices @ home
home = easier w/small children
theater = stress
theater = sometimes good — popular movie releases
خب، اینا ایده های اولیه ی من هستن. وقتی یه لیست از ایده ها برای رایتینگ تون نوشتید، باید دویاره ایده هایی که brainstorm کردید چک کنید ببینید
کدوماشون باید حذف بشن. در مورد خودم، من این ایده رو حذف می کنم:
can be good to go to the theater to see a popular movie that’s just been released
این عبارت: « Theater = sometimes good — popular movie releases » ، استدلال مخالفِ ادعای اصلی من، یعنی :« watching movies at home is better » هست. یه جوایی استدلال مخالف پیچیده ای هم هست. تعریف مون از «popular movies » چی هست؟ چرا دیدن یه فیلم محبوب در سینما بعضی وقتا کار جالبیه؟ مطمئن نیستم که وقت داشته باشم که کاملا به این استدلال بپردازم. و علاوه بر این، همونطور که قبلا هم گفتم، آوردن استدلال های مخالف در واقع در قسمت دو رایتینگ تافل ضروری نیست.
بنابرین با حذف شدن یه آیتم، اینا ایده هایی هستن که من brainstorm کردم:
watch at home
theater = too expensive
more choices @ home
home = easier w/ small children
theater = stress
وقتی که بهترین ایده هایی که brainstorm کردید رو انتخاب کردید، آماده هستید که اون ایده ها رو با یه ترتیب منطقی در یه outline قرار بدید. Outline کردن از brainstorm کردن سخت تره، ولی در عین حال از رایتینگ نوشتن راحت تره. برای outline تون هم باید از کلمات و عبارات استفاده کنید. فقط وقتی جمله های کامل بنویسید که دارید خود رایتینگ و می نویسید؛ نوشتن جمله ی کامل توی مرحله ی pre-writing بیش از حد وقت گیر می شه.
pre-writing برای قسمت independent writing تافل
outline کردن
حالا این ایده های ساده ای که brainstorm کرده بودید به outline تبدیل کنید. برای outline، من توضیحات مختصری برای سه قسمت introduction ، body و conclusion آماده می کنم. این outline من هست:
Paragraph 1: Introduction, prefer watch movies @ home
P2: more choices at home — all available movies, recent and past (theater — only newest ones)
P3: home watching = best if you have kids — hard to get kids into car, to movies, kids more comfortable @ home
P4: home movies = cheaper, theater many expenses (gas, snacks, movie tickets)
P5: conclusion: choices, family friendliness, budget >> home watching = best
الآن کاملا مشخصه که این outline اصلا شبیه به چیزهایی که من قراره توی رایتینگم بنویسم نیست؛ چون outline باید یه لیست مختصر از ایده های اصلی ( main ideas ) ای باشه که می خواید توی رایتینگ تون بنویسید. به outline به چشم «طرز تهیه» ی رایتینگ تون نگاه کنید. و ترتیب مواد اولیه که به صورت پاراگراف 1، 2، 3، 4 و 5 اومدن، دستورالعمل نحوه ی کنار هم قرار دادن این مواد اولیه هستن، به طوری که محصول نهایی خوب از آب دربیاد. ولی هنوز کارمون با این «طرز تهیه» تموم نشده. رایتینگ تافل تون باید نسخه ی ساده شده ای از یه مطلب پنج پاراگرافی باشه. زمان برای نوشتن پنج پاراگراف کامل نخواهید داشت. پس باید introduction ، body و conclusion تون رو در سه پاراگراف بگذارید.
خب باید در outline مون هم مثل brainstorming تغییراتی کوچکی رو اعمال کنیم.
این outline ی هست که تغییرش دادیم تا بر اساسش یه رایتینگ چهار پاراگرافی بنویسیم:
Paragraph 1: Introduction, prefer watch movies @ home, for choices, convenience, save money
P2: more choices @ home, home = more kid friendly environment, save money @ home
P3: Movie: inconveniences (smaller selection, kids not comfortable) expenses (gas, snacks, movie tickets),
P4: Conclusion: choices, family-friendly, save $ >>> home watching = best
همون طور که می بینید این بار outline روطوری طراحی کردم که تمام فواید درمنزل فیلم دیدن در یه پاراگراف بیاد. و بعد هم تمام اشکالات فیلم دیدن در سینما در قسمت دوم body رایتینگ میاد.
و حالا outline ی داریم که بی عیب و نقصه. ساده و خوش ساخته و آماده س که به یه رایتینگ کامل ارتقا پیدا کنه.

In my opinion, it is better to watch movies at home, compared to watching them in the theater. I feel this way because watching movies at home gives you more viewing choices. In addition, staying home to watch movies is easier if you have children, and costs less money.
You have more choices of what to watch at home because you can watch movies that are on TV or the Internet. This means you can watch thousands of different films, both old releases and new. It’s also a lot easier to get the kids together for a home movie because they don’t have to leave the house to watch the movie with you. Not only that, but watching movies is simply cheaper. Tons of movies are available for free on the web and on broadcast TV, and you can eat and drink affordable refreshments from your own kitchen while you watch. All of this makes watching movies at home a great choice.
In contrast, if you go to the movies, you face a lot of inconveniences. The selection of movies is tiny. On any given day, your local theater might be showing only 10 different movies, or fewer. In addition, you need to get your kids dressed, get them into the car, drive them to the theater, sit them down, buy them snacks, and so on. Speaking of snacks, going to the theater has many financial costs. Cinema snacks are expensive, and you also need to pay for gas to drive to the theater, and buy tickets for the movie.
Compared to watching movies in the theater, watching movies at home is so much more enjoyable. You get to choose almost any movie you want and enjoy a relaxing time at home with your family, and you save money too. So for me, I prefer watching a movie at home over a trip to the cinema.
