"ژپ هین" طراح و هنرمند دانمارکی، طراحی این نیمکت های اصلاح شده اجتماعی در هنر معاصر را به عهده داشته است. این نیمکت ها در روستای ساحلی "هان" در بلژیک نصب شده اند.
هدف از طراحی این صندلی ها، که به نیمکت های دیوانه (crazy benches) شهرت دارند، عکس العمل عموم مردم با تغییرات و نبود تکرار در زندگی روزمره در رویارویی با این نیمکت هاست.
Relax – these twisted benches in De Haan Wenduine, Belgium, are not the insane innovation implemented by the municipal authorities. Danish artist Jeppe Hein created the “Modified Social Benches” as the project for the recent contemporary art event.
